O-Level Current Affairs Writing & Letter Writing
Targeted group: Sec1 to Sec 4
Focused on: Current Affairs Discussion and Writing, Two types of Letter Writing
Duration: 1.5 hr / lesson, 10 lessons / term (following school term)
Program Outline:
Here students read and discuss current affairs, analyze news. We will also cover good writing skills for argumentative essays. Students will be expose to classroom discussion under guidance and come out with the structure and main points of writing before they attempt to write. Model writings and helping words are given to assist the student. Sharp views and personal opinions are strongly encouraged from the students participating in this program so that critical and creative thinking skills can be developed from the weekly training.
O-Level Comprehension and CL/HCL Paper 2 Preparation
Targeted group: Sec1 to Sec 4
Focused on: O-Level Comprehension skills and CL/HCL Paper 2 Preparation
Duration: 1.5 hr / lesson, 10 lessons / term (following school term)
Program Outline:
Students will be expose to mock O-level CL/HCL paper (depending on the program that your child is enrolled in their school) and be taught the essential techniques to cope with different types of comprehension questions in this weekly program. Cloze passage answering skills and passage shortening skills are also covered in this program besides the two types of comprehension passages.
